APSN

Established in 1976, Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN) is a social service agency providing special education for persons with mild intellectual disability (IQ 50-70). Today, APSN operates four Special Education (SPED) Schools (APSN Chaoyang School, APSN Katong School, APSN Tanglin School and APSN Delta Senior School) for students aged 7 to 21, an APSN Student Care Centre for children aged 7 to 18 and an APSN Centre for Adults for persons aged 18 and older, benefiting over 1,200 beneficiaries each year.

The APSN Schools and Centre adopt a holistic approach in its curriculum, comprising academic, vocational and social skills, which are important for open employment and lifelong learning. APSN seeks to enable persons with special needs to be active contributors of the society and is committed to inspire and build capabilities of its partners and community to lead and advocate an inclusive society.

To date, APSN’s growing database has more than 5,000 beneficiaries, comprising students, trainees and alumni. The Association is constantly expanding its network to reach out to and understand the needs of its members to better support them.

APSN Charity Draw 2016

On 26 November 2016, APSN held its Charity Draw event at APSN Tanglin School (TS). A total of 30 prizes were up for grabs via the sales of tickets which commenced in early July.

APSN would like to thank the following sponsors (in no particular order) Sparks Pte Ltd, Genesis-Global Gems & Jewellery, Compressport Asia, My Gym@Bouna Vista, Ben & Jerry’s Singapore, Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd, Park Hotel Clarke Quay, Park Hotel Alexandra, Siloso Beach Resort, Sentosa, Hewlett Packard, Sentosa Development Corporation, Han’s (F&B) Pte Ltd and Mr Eddie Soh, for their kind contributions to the APSN Charity Draw event. Cash prizes were sponsored by APSN.

We are also pleased to announce the winning numbers and would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the winners and thank all the supporters who have purchased the Charity Draw Tickets.

Please note that claimants must produce winning ticket and NRIC or Passport to claim their prizes.

Prizes are to be collected at 11 Jalan Ubi, Block 2, #02-12, Kembangan- Chai Chee Community Hub, Singapore 409074, between 9.00am to 4.00pm (Mondays to Fridays). Collection of prizes will close on 27 Dec 2016. Any unclaimed prize will be donated back to charity.

All proceeds raised through this event will go towards the funding of APSN training and education, which will help our beneficiaries to go a long way in being equipped towards a better future.
