Event: Our School Our Voice X Youth Day 2023 – Community Recycling Drive

Students celebrated Youth Day on 7 July 2023 as agents of change by contributing to the school’s sustainability drive. The Sec 1 and 2 students showcased their creativity and innovation by transforming recyclable materials into functional and sustainable products. Their creations were then proudly presented to their peers by class representatives, who shared how their products contribute to environmental sustainability.
As part of the school’s “Our School, Our Voice initiative”, the Secondary 3 and 4 students launched a community recycling drive in collaboration with Bedok Ixora Residential Centre. The students were joined in the recycling drive by volunteers from Qualcomm. Residents responded enthusiastically by packing their recyclables neatly at the designated collection points.
Given the necessary support, the students too can contribute to a greener and more sustainable Singapore.
