Completing the Royal Quests in Chapter 1
Once you have completed 2-3 trips, you can return to the city. There is still plenty of time to complete the royal quests. At this point, you've already completed 3/5 (for each dungeon you've completed), and now you can focus on your kingdom.
Start spending one day with each character. This way, you will not only complete the royal quest, but also gain access to a number of new skills. Merchants in the city are also opening their shops, and you can buy from them. It's also a good idea to spend a few extra days building your friendship with Alyssa and Buzz - this will give you additional bonuses in gaining their sympathy through conversations.
After that, upgrade the bridge to the second experience level and start fishing. You will spend a few days on this, and it will definitely benefit you - you will receive many valuable items and complete another royal quest. You can also upgrade the courtyard to the second level, thanks to which you can take 6 characters on your travels (other characters will join you soon).
